Park Church Internships are aimed at three overlapping purposes:

  1. Interns are exposed to church philosophy, culture, people, and practices.
  2. Interns are equipped to better serve as a church member and in other their vocations.
  3. Interns’ skillsets are engaged to actively pursue the mission of the church.

TWO DIFFERENT INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCES AT PARK CHURCH

  1. Year-round internships are designed for people who feel fairly confident that they want to go into vocational ministry and have already have a clear idea of what gifts they can use to help serve the Church. This internship approach will have a good balance of exposure, equipping, and experience-building, as interns will have specific responsibilities they oversee. Interns will apply for a specific position and work under the direction and guidance of the church leader who oversees that area.
  2. Summer internships will provide an opportunity for individuals to explore what vocational ministry looks like from a macro perspective in order to see if it’s a path they might want to pursue. The summer internship is heavily exposure-based, but interns will still have some projects under their responsibility. They will report to the Intern Coordinator. Summer internships will require all-day Tuesday availability and either Sunday morning or Sunday evening availability.
