Kids’ Good Friday Worship

Hey parents!

On Good Friday, we remember that Jesus, while perfect and without fault, died on the cross for our sins. Today’s lesson is from Matthew 26:36–27:66, focusing on the crucifixion of Jesus. It’s important to focus on this day because it is the reason why Jesus came. Our sin is what held Him on that cross. His love for us to be brought into the family of God is found on that road to Calvary. In this particular season of life, it is painfully clear that the world is broken and needs a Savior. Talk with your kids today about why Jesus died on that cross. It will make the joy of Easter morning truly sweeter. As you prepare for and celebrate Easter, help them understand why Jesus came: to save the world from sin! For the activity video, you will need a newspaper, soap and water. Our memory verse is found in Romans 10:9, helping us shape our hearts in Jesus’ rescuing power. This will be our memory verse for the Easter season. Below is everything you need to engage your child in this week’s lesson.
