Kids’ Easter Sunday Worship

Hey parents!

Happy Easter! On the third day, God in glorious power raised Jesus from the grave proving He is the king of the world. Jesus has victory over sin and death and we celebrate He is still alive today in our hearts! Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection are not the end of the story, but the center of it. Everything that was written about Jesus in the Old Testament and spoken by the prophets was coming true. One day, Jesus will return to make all things new as mentioned in Revelation. Jesus’ resurrection gives us hope for our resurrection. (Romans 6:5) And Romans 8:11 says that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will raise our bodies to life. As you teach kids this Bible story, emphasize the gospel: the good news of who Jesus is and what He has done. As you prepare for and celebrate Easter, help kids connect the dots between God’s promises of a Messiah and Jesus’ coming. Help them understand why Jesus came: to save the world from sin! Our memory verse is found in Romans 10:9 to help us shape our hearts in Jesus’ rescuing power. This will be our memory verse for the Easter season. Below is everything you need to engage your child in this week’s lesson. For the activity video above, you will need two to three sheets of paper, scissors, and glue or tape.
